Nomination Checklist
Before you start your horse nomination form, gather the following information and files. Having it all ready will make completing the nomination an efficient and straightforward process.
Seller Details
- Driver's Licence - verification of your identity is a legislative requirement
- Credit Card - for payment of nomination fee and optional promotion package
- ABN (if applicable)
Horse Details
- Registered name and/or paddock name
- Breed and registration number (if applicable)
- Age, date of birth, sex, height (hands). If you're unsure how height in hands, check out our article Measuring Your Horse’s Height.
- Competition history or performance highlights (if applicable)
Ownership & Identification
- Brand or microchip details (if branded or chipped)
- Relevant licences or breed society papers if required
Photos & Videos
- Good quality, recent photos showing horse conformation and characteristics. See our Sale Photo Guide for further details and examples.
- Mandatory photos include:
- Head shot
- Near side full body
- Off side full body
- Front full height
- Rear full height
- Date photo (shows date photos were taken)
- Optional media includes:
- Action or ridden photos
- Hooves front and back
- Marks, scars or other distinguishing features
- Link to short video clip (upload to YouTube and ensure view settings are set to Public)
Health & Veterinary Records
- Details of vaccination records, type and date (if applicable)
- DNA profile or Genetic Disorder Test results (if applicable)
- Optional health details include:
- Recent dental, hoof care and worming dates
- Pre-purchase vet check or X-rays
Pricing & Sale Preferences
- Reserve price (minimum you’ll accept, if you want to set a reserve)
- Any “Buy Now” or “Make an Offer” options you’d like to allow
Optional Promotion Package
- Decide if you’d like a Bronze, Silver, or Gold Promotion Package for extra exposure.
